General Summary:Maintains individual account information for IDI single life policies, or performs high volume non-financial transactions on multi-life plans. Ensures all necessary and or requested transactions are processed in a timely manner with a high degree of quality.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process non-financial transactions including but not limited to:

  • Address changes, cancellations, waivers, requests for duplicate policies, etc.

  • Process simple financial transactions

  • Application of premium 1:1 payment to policy

  • Respond to customer inquiries (by phone or email)

  • Process manual correspondence letters

  • Generally trained in single system to develop skills, with ability to learn multiple billing systems over time as needed

May perform other duties as assigned

Job Specifications

  • 4 year college degree highly preferred

  • Prior experience in a customer service role highly preferred

  • Aptitude to develop strong knowledge of general banking, accounting and billing/collection business practices and procedures

  • Solid computer skills (Word, Excel)

  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision

  • Demonstrates good listening ability with exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to perform in a fast paced environment, both as part of a team and independently

  • Demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task

  • Demonstrates solid analytical/mathematical skills

  • Displays solid problem solving and decision making ability

  • Exhibits solid customer service skills
