Weston & Sampson Environmental Project Manager in Worcester, Massachusetts
Weston & Sampson is seeking a Project Manager with 8-15 years of experience in wetland delineations, ecological habitat assessments, and environmental permitting, for a position in our Water group in various locations in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
What you’ll do:
Delineating wetlands using the US Army Corps of Engineers methodology ,
Environmental permitting, preferably in MA, NH, CT.
Conducting ecological habitat assessments is a plus,
Handling flexible workload, diverse project files, and working well with multiple staff members.
Overseeing project teams with preparing permit applications for multi-disciplinary projects,
Manage technical, budgetary and client aspects of projects.
Assist with business development, marketing, and proposal preparation with support from senior management
Attend public hearings and present projects to various committees and boards
Establishing long-term relationships with municipal and private clients
Supervise, train, and mentor junior staff
Participate in professional organizations through presentations and/or technical committees
What you’ll bring:
Experience with public speaking at public hearings, workshops, and seminars.
Ability to handle flexible workload, diverse project files, and working well with multiple staff members.
Valid driver’s license is required. Some travel will be required to client meetings and project sites
Familiarity with Massachusetts, New Hampshire or Connecticut environmental permitting regulations.
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Organizational/time management skills
Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, team leadership, and mentoring
Honest and ethical, producing high quality work, and a commitment to teamwork, respect, and integrity
