Community Healthlink Director of Special Projects in Worcester, Massachusetts

Come join a friendly and diverse team that provides quality care! Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for a full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Director of Special Projects at our Worcester site.

Community Healthlink is a multi-service, private, non-profit organization committed to promoting, maintaining and restoring the dignity, well-being and mental health of individuals and families in Central Massachusetts.

The Director of Special Projects oversees the Project Management Office. Delivers Project Management, strategic alignment and implementation support for key organizational projects and initiviative as prioritized and assigned by President and CEO, Chief of Staff, and members of the leadership team at CHL. The position requires candidates to have the ability to supervise others and organize the various tasks involved in completing a project. To be successful, the Director must: be an independent, self-motivated strategic and operational thinker; possess exceptional attention to detail and a high bar for quality; be able to organize, prioritize and direct a large volume of projects and tasks; seek solutions as an active problem solver; and eagerly partner with all colleagues to collaboratively extend CHL’s impact.

  1. Lead and direct entire cross functional teams on data management, operations planning and milestone tracking for strategic initiatives implementation.

  2. Coordinate interactions and ensure to streamline stakeholders, cross functional teams and Senior Management teams.

  3. Manage process enhancements and varied special projects to execute solutions to attain key performance improvement or reduce risk.

  4. Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.

  5. Master's degree or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years or more of job-related experience. Comprehensive knowledge in job related functional area. Proven ability to identify key issues and to carry forward an idea or project from conception to execution.

  6. Track record of thinking conceptually and mastering complex subject matter quickly.

  7. Strong organizational skills and demonstrated capacity to develop and implement practical strategies, plans, and solutions to identified issues and problems.

  8. Superior critical thinking skills, including the capacity to identify and appropriately assess and order competing interests and priorities. First rate verbal and written communication skills.

  9. Track record of taking initiative in managing competing organizational and departmental priorities and to work effectively under pressure when facing extremely short deadlines.

  10. Exceptional research, writing, analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear, concise and logical manner.

  11. Familiarity with research sources.

  12. Good judgment, discretion, tact and the ability to work easily with senior leaders within the charitable, government, and business sectors.

  13. Ability to partner well with colleagues both in and outside of the organization.

  14. Ability to work independently and to undertake supervisory responsibilities as needed.

  15. Must be able to pass a CORI background check.
