Azurity Pharmaceuticals VP, Franchise Portfolio Management in Woburn, Massachusetts

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain a comprehensive subject matter expertise for the category through primary and secondary research, ad boards, market scanning, competitive intelligence and customer input. Ideate and select products to construct a funnel of candidates for development, each with a compelling and distinct TPP, subsequently driving progress through development, registration and launch. Continue to drive product enhancements and line-extensions beyond launch and plan effectively for replacement and withdrawal of commercial support at end of life. Own and drive PLM process stage-gates 1-9 at scale and speed (?cradle to grave?), convening and leading A3 Cross-functional teams. Ensure stage-gate criteria are met at every stage. ?Push? each function to deliver effectively and to budget at each stage from development, through launch, growth and maturity. Recommend discontinuations as appropriate. Develop and maintain a balanced strategic plan for the category (stage, dose-form, technology etc.), managing replacement of mature assets and growing category revenues over the long-term Challenge business development to provide assets that supplement the internally developed portfolio Develop external partnerships to access new technologies and otherwise enhance portfolio development EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Entrepreneurial mindset and drive Cross-functional leadership and ability to drive action through others Business acumen Category therapeutic knowledge Familiarity with pharmaceutical drug development, commercial processes and product lifecycles. Understanding of regulatory processes and IP evaluation Strong criteria-based decision-making and execution capabilities. Product selection expertise, creation of TPPs and life-cycle management Curiosity/industry network Financial modeling, forecasting and P&L construction Ability to take a systematic approach, driving forward a large number of projects simultaneously through stage-gate go/no-go decisions Bachelor?s degree Pharmaceuticals experience. CRITICAL LEADERSHIP CAPABILITIES Ownership of the category success. Will to drive progress. Sense of urgency and ability to instil that in others; leading, maintaining buy-in and alignment of multiple functions at every stage Disciplined decision-making and a comfort in making trade-off decisions within limited resources. Success involves championing selected projects but also the ability to recommend termination of projects that may still be favored by others. Ability to ?speak the language? of both developmental scientists and commercial leaders, connecting what is possible technically with what is viable in the market
