Scientific Systems Senior Project Financial Analyst in Woburn, Massachusetts
SSCI has an exciting opportunity to add a new Senior Project Financial Analyst role to our growing team. The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the financial management of multiple Government funded contracts with various Department of Defense (DoD) customers.
*This position requires U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for U.S. Dept. of Defense Security Clearance.
Responsibilities
Work closely with technical program leads to ensure project budgets and schedules are properly maintained at all times.
Ensure the accuracy of data inputs used in the planning and execution of projects and revenue forecasting, with accuracy estimates for project completion (EAC)
Analyze and monitor financial results. Review variances and project funding requirements; recommend actions to management.
Support customer and internal program management reviews (PMRs) with thorough analysis and detailed reporting.
Prepare cost and performance reports (CDRLs) for internal and external customers.
Support pricing and proposal preparation for capture of new business opportunities. (Familiarity with ProPricer software or other proposal preparation packages is a plus)
Requirements
BA or BS in Finance, Business Administration, or similar discipline, with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience. Strong preference for candidates with similar industry background.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; maintains professional demeanor
Ability to contribute and work effectively with others in a fast-paced team environment
Ability to keep track of deadlines and meet goals on project related expectations
High proficiency in MS Office Applications (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
Knowledge of Government Accounting practices and / or Earned Value Management (EVM) is a plus.
