Travel, domestic and international, comprises 15 25% of your yearly schedule.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Upstream Marketing and Portfolio Management:

  • Serve as a marketing core team member on new product development initiatives

  • Drive portfolio management discussions and align the business on prioritization of our investment portfolio of new products and solutions based on rigorous analytics and relevant and representative voice-of-customers.

  • Work with Medtronic teams in global markets to help shape strategies to accelerate access to our innovative products.

  • Support due diligence efforts on potential acquisitions, investments, or commercial partnerships.

  • Perform quantitative assessments for new opportunities and present for funding decisions and recommendations to all levels of management

  • Assist with long-range forecasting and planning by working collaboratively with global teams to understand market trends and competitive dynamics

Pipeline Marketing and Customer Engagement:

  • Interface directly with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and physician customers to identify key strategic areas of focus and obtain feedback regarding current and future product plans.

  • Collaborate closely with RD, Business Development, Regional Marketing, Global Downstream Marketing, and Finance, to analyze technical design and cost information to determine the profitability and viability of new products or product enhancements.

  • Assess potential new indications and applications for our core technologies to expand access to broader patient populations.

  • Collect market research to understand the voice-of-customer and to ensure our pipeline of new products and solutions best addresses the unmet needs of the market.

  • Conduct competitive product analysis and market research of product, consumer behavior and professional audience.

  • Become the expert on potential new markets for Medtronic and provide Medtronic senior leadership with clear business plans supporting new market entry strategies.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required

  • Minimum of 7 years of marketing experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience

Nice to Have

  • Experience in Womens Health

  • Advanced degree (MBA) preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in the healthcare industry

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop financial and valuation models that support new business plans and strategies

  • Experience in strategy, consulting, finance, MA, business development, or technical role.

  • Technical aptitude, specifically in the medical device or neurovascular space.

  • Strategy and/or portfolio management experience with an ability to take complex problems and translate them into concise, data-driven recommendations.

  • Experience with design thinking and Biodesign principles.

  • Demonstrated success at work-in or manage large, cross-functional project teams to deliver upon critical milestones.
