Scientific Systems Company, Inc. Lead Engineer - Autonomy Technologies in Woburn, Massachusetts
SSCI is looking to fill Lead Research Engineer position in the areas of autonomy for Unmanned Systems.

Responsibilities
Develop advanced concepts in Autonomy, AI, Machine Learning, and/or Cognitive Systems
Develop competitive proposals and follow-on programs for R+D customers, including DARPA, ONR, AFRL, ARL, NASA, and other government agencies and industry primes
Lead execution of advanced technology R+D programs in Principal Investigator roles
Support other company initiatives and programs in a Subject Matter Expert role
Support company marketing and business development via technical briefings, publications, conferences, and professional outreach activities
Requirements
PhD w/ 7+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent, in EE, CS, AI, Robotics, Cognitive Systems, Machine Learning or related field, with demonstrated experience in Autonomous Vehicles, Behavior-based Robotics, or other Unmanned/Autonomous Systems development
Established background in Autonomy, Robotics, or Unmanned Systems, with technology focus in AI, machine learning, and/or cognitive systems
Demonstrated successes in winning proposals and developing innovative solutions in Unmanned Systems, Autonomy, Robotics, or Machine Learning
Demonstrated ability to interact independently with R+D customers as PI or SME
Demonstrated small team leadership and interpersonal skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Human Systems Integration (HSI), User Interfaces (UI), Multi-Vehicle Tasking, and/or Mission Planning for Unmanned Systems
