L3 SDS, operates as a Sector of L3 Technologies, Electronics Systems Segment.

We are seeking a collaborative, self-motivated human resources professional who under general direction delivers value added HR solutions. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Human Resources, Client Groups, the HR Manager, Client Groups is a trusted advisor to the business and identifies and recommends innovative and pragmatic HR solutions for organizational challenges that impact our ability to meet our global people strategy and business growth imperatives. This position serves as the critical liaison for various client group leaders and employees on HR matters including, but not limited to talent acquisition, talent management, employee relations, training & development, compensation, EEO, rewards and recognition, and employee engagement.

You will demonstrate success by:

  • Provide human resources guidance for assigned client groups (approximately 300 global employees) in multiple locations.

  • Collaborate and consult with all levels of management and provide daily guidance on HR related matters.

  • Partner on and help resolve complex employee relations issues, organizational design solutions, and HR process improvement initiatives.

  • Conduct objective HR investigations and recommends appropriate course of action/resolution.

  • Provide guidance to employees and management on HR Policies and Procedures.

  • Provide performance management guidance and counsel on process and performance issues. In collaboration with management, offer solutions and guidance through coaching, counseling, performance improvement, disciplinary action.

  • Lead talent management and development initiatives for client groups, ensuring that successors are in place for key positions and development plans are established to support future business needs.

  • Manage the coordination, administration and communication of benefit options and/or changes for employees. Assist employees and managers with potential questions or issues with benefits or pay/timekeeping in order to provide resolution.

  • Lead human resources initiatives for client groups, including annual performance evaluation process, workforce planning, compensation planning, talent management & succession planning for assigned functions.

  • Coordinate all HR transactions and internal change management processes related to pay, compensation, job or related changes. Assure accuracy of data and currency within HRIS and reporting systems. Complete enrollment process for new hires assuring completeness.

  • Participate in the talent acquisition process by partnering on job evaluations, conducting interviews and assisting with the onboarding process.

  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies which improves HR and Business performance.

  • Attends and actively participates in weekly department level staff meetings for respective business units and HR Sector team.

  • Works with the HR team to understand employee-related communication needs and facilitates delivery of these communications to the workforce utilizing the Intranet, MS Outlook, etc.

  • Utilizes HR systems, such as Success Factors, etc., and assists in implementing new systems at a local level as directed by Corporate / Segment HR.

  • Collaborate and participate in planning company sponsored events and activities.

  • Participate in and/or lead special projects.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field is required. Master’s Degree in related field is preferred.

  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Human Resources Business Partner or HR Manager Role supporting global organizations; preferably in a technology industry.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • Experience with HRIS Systems such as SAP and SuccessFactors strongly preferred.

  • Excellent coaching, mentoring and influencing skills.

  • Strong knowledge of global human resources practices and policies, and applicable USA employment related state and federal laws and regulations.

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office package, including Excel and PowerPoint; able to create reports and presentations on own.

  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and relationship management skills.

  • High degree of customer service orientation, confidentiality, and professionalism.

  • Self-starter with high initiative; ability to be flexible, multi-task, and handle changing priorities in a fast paced, dynamic business.

  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills and presentation skills.

  • Experience with change management and working in a rapid growth or transitional environment.

  • Strong attention to detail, with a keen ability to anticipate organizational needs

  • Ability to quickly analyze information, document findings, and develop recommendations.

  • Exceptional time management, planning, and organizational skills.

  • Capable of travel, domestic and international, 10% of the time.
