Parker Chomerics Global Division Quality Engineer in Woburn, Massachusetts

Provide leadership and management for the quality function and sustain the quality philosophy and culture for the division. Establish, maintain and optimize an effective quality management system. Create and implement a quality plan to achieve the levels of quality established through organizational goals, customer expectations, related stakeholders and market competition. Enhance and improve the division?s products and services through the implementation of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, Zero Defects initiatives, problem-solving tools, prevention methods, quality-at-the-source and continuous improvement techniques. Management Representative for Quality Systems. Reports to the division General Manager with dotted line relationship to Engineered Materials Group Quality Director. The Division Quality Manager manages department resources and coordinates the implementation of the quality management system between business units and locations to cost-effectively facilitate quality and compliance. Interacts routinely with all division functional areas, as well as with customers, field sales, regulatory agencies, group/corporate management, and suppliers. Works closely with the division General Manager and division staff to set and drive execution of division strategy. Responsibilites: - Build division quality team through attracting, hiring, and retaining high quality internal and external talent. - Coach and develop leadership, talent acquisition and development, and engagement within quality function. - Communicates customer, regulatory and organizational requirements to assure product quality, contract compliance and customer satisfaction. - Oversees the effective documentation and implementation of the quality management system to assure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements and the standards set by corporate/division policies. - Works with division leadership to ensure that individuals performing functions affecting quality are trained and demonstrate the appropriate skills and performance results. - Coordinates necessary division personnel for internal, customer and third-party quality system audits. - Maintains a corrective action system to analyze and correct nonconforming conditions and complaints. - Implements the needed performance measurements effectively evaluate organizational performance and trends in product quality, services, customer satisfaction and the cost of poor quality. Uses the results of performance evaluation to target improvement efforts. - Collaborate with Supply Chain and EHS functions on development & execution of supplier management strategy. - Assess supplier capabilities and monitor supplier quality to ensure desired levels of performance. - Collaborates with Engineering on new product development and design review for quality/reliability issues. - Travel up to 25% to remote manufacturing / customer / supplier locations for technical support and training. Qualifications: - B.S. Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline required. M.S. Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline a plus. - Proven expertise in quality management demonstrated through education and at least 12 years commensurate work experience required. - At least two years of experience managing multi-site & multi-geography quality manufacturing organizations required. - Thorough knowledge of International Standard ISO 9001 QMS and IATF 16949 required. - Certification by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), or Certified Quality Manager (CQ Mgr) preferred. - At least five years? experience with quality improvement tools and techniques (i.e., Lean, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control, and Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) required. - Demonstrated leadership, project management, facilitation and problem-solving skills. - Must have ability to thrive in a multi-priority, resu ts
