Sr.FPGA Hardware Engineer
Textron Systems is seeking anexperienced VHDL Engineer to join our team. This individual will work as partof a multidisciplined design engineering team during the development phases ofan emerging program. The individual will be responsible for developing new FPGAdesigns and the transition of those designs into ASICs. The individual shouldbe fluent in the VHDL code techniques required to implementdecoders,encoders, shift registers, counters and state machines to control serial busdata transfers, decode & execute commands and generate simple parallel datastream outputs.Our Design Engineering team is focused on developing andimproving new product designs to support advanced emerging programs formilitary customers.
Greater than 15 yearsof experience in Mixed Signal electronics design
Highly experienced VHDLdesigner
Design of decoders, registers,counters and state machines to decode serial commands, control serial datatransfers and generate variable pulse widths.
‘Test Bench’ codingexperience
Xilinx experience in ISE and Vivado preferred.
Demonstrated software documentation discipline
Experience in working within a formal software development environment.
Support programming and debug of FPGA
Guide and support conversion of VHDL code into an ASIC.
Education Requirements: BS degree in electrical engineering or computer programming,MS a plus.
