About This Role
We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for:
The Manager, Production Control and Logistics (PC and L) will report directly to the Director of Operations and will provide leadership and accountability for overall strategic and tactical activities of the end to end material planning, receiving, warehouse, and shipping functions.
This critical business role will:
Provide a high level of internal customer service by compliantly working to increase transactional speed across the PC&L function
Lead all aspects for SIOP Coordination, Master Scheduling, Material Planning, Production Control, Warehouse Management, Shipping, and Receiving.
Create a work culture and environment for the PC&L team that has a focus on doing whatever it takes to compliantly produce goods and services on time and under budget
Partner with program management, engineering, and other supply chain disciplines to proactively plan, schedule, and effectively manage development, production, and aftermarket support environments
Provide leadership in all aspects of material planning and production control, including serving as a subject matter expert in the use MRP II principles and application.
Deploy a material movement approach consistent with the Lean principles of Flow and Pull
Manage inventory levels, material flow, and logistics among suppliers, plants and customers to achieve targeted delivery lead times while minimizing working capital investment.
Develop and execute strategies to ensure procedural and execution compliance to the FAR and DFARS and subsequent Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) approval resulting from Materials Management and Accounting System (MMAS) reviews.
Assure competent staffing to exceed the strategic and tactical goals of the business.
10 years DOD Production Control experience
Demonstrated experience in MMAS compliance requirements
Oracle ERP knowledge
- Masters Degree with 6 or more years of experience, or a Bachelors Degree with 10 or more years of experience
