Global Field Applications Manager - MKS Plasma and Reactive Gas Solutions - Business Unit
MKS Plasma & Reactive Gas team is seeking an enthusiastic driven Global Field Applications Manager to lead the global team of Field Applications engineers across Asia, United States and Europe that support on-site customer activities for our growing product lines. Your team mission is to provide unmatched customer support and satisfaction, excellent products expertise and be the on-site representative of MKS Business unit - Plasma and Reactive Gas. Guide customers in their equipment development with related integration, support troubleshooting, application and process development for related products.
Plan, lead, manage, and oversee MKS Plasma and Reactive Gas Global Field Applications organization, supporting the needs of customers in demanding applications; Semiconductors, Electronics Thin Films and Industrial segments. The Global Field Applications Engineering Manager is expected to be a seasoned leader that manages a global team of customer-facing Field Applications Engineers, and must embraces the concepts of:

The global field application engineering organization is responsible for:
Supporting the products technical applications across the entire portfolio,
Providing design expertise & recommendations during various phases of the NPI stage gate process,
Developing & reaching consensus with the customer(s) on their product specifications,
Delivering product training to customer & partners,
Developing technical support documentation (Application Notes and White Papers) to demonstrate thought leadership,
Delivering technical papers at trade shows & industry symposiums,
Coordinating across the entire value chain (sales, distributors, vendors, engineering, manufacturing, etc.) to insure the customer expectations is met to maintain or win new business.
Responsible for all aspects of the Field Application Team performance, including planning, recruiting, development, mentoring, flawless execution, and most importantly; continuous improvement to exceed the annual operating plans for the team.
Leads the global Field Application Engineers in the planning, development and maintenance of technical implementations & support for customers. This may require frequent travel (up to 35%) within the USA, Europe and Asia.
Team up with Engineering and Quality to tailor solutions for customer needs, and also with sales and marketing to drive overall customer satisfaction
Collaborates with customers to propose technical solutions, recommendations and technical project plans.
Leads complex troubleshooting of technical issues.
Drives the creation of application notes, white papers and other technical collateral to promote thought leadership within the industry.
Partner with Product Support engineers and NPI Engineering to monitor project progress proactively and respond to technical issues.
Promotes use of tools, process, and documentation to drive team efficiencies and flawless execution.
Represents Company in a positive, professional manner when working with both internal and external customers.
Bachelor Degree in Electronics /Chemical Engineering, or appropriate scientific areas
10+ years of combined experience in product design, technical sales and application engineering with 5+ years of experience in a management role.
Semiconductors Industry experience preferred
Managing complex technical projects, while interfacing directly with customers.
Strong Data analysis skills set, desirable Black Belt level.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (specifications, technical writing, application notes and white papers).
Demonstrated effectiveness collaborating with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
