Job Description:

Responsible for performing inspections, tests, and/or audits of purchased parts, units, materials, equipment, panel/module level assemblies, and quality control programs to specifications. Interprets manufacturing drawings, diagrams, specifications, and lists to approve or reject units, test setups, or systems for in-process or final assemblies. Inspects and may perform minor rework on defective or malfunctioning units or systems. Maintains support documentation and performs sampling and testing of incoming components, raw materials, and build of assemblies. Reviews and reports performance data. Ensures raw materials, in-process, and finished products meet company and test standards. Determines or assists in determining methods and procedures necessary for inspection. May interface with customer quality representatives or suppliers.

Additionally, responsible for managing calibration processes including internal calibration procedures and coordination with outside calibration vendors. Ensures that all equipment and instruments are calibrated according to standards and schedules. Collaborates with vendors to maintain calibration records and certifications, and to address any calibration-related issues or concerns.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform inspections, tests, and audits of purchased parts, materials, and assemblies

  • Interpret manufacturing drawings, diagrams, and specifications to approve or reject units

  • Maintain documentation and perform sampling and testing of components and raw materials

  • Review and report performance data to ensure compliance with company standards

  • Determine inspection methods and procedures

  • Interface with customer quality representatives or suppliers

  • Manage internal calibration procedures

  • Coordinate with outside calibration vendors

  • Ensure equipment and instruments are calibrated according to standards and schedules

  • Maintain calibration records and certifications

  • Address calibration-related issues or concerns with vendors

    Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Familiar with calibration managemnt software

  • Previous use of Ariba
