Hub International Actuarial Account Analyst - Retirement Plan Services in Wilmington, Massachusetts

We currently have an opportunity for an Actuarial Account Analyst – Retirement Plan Services. This is a full-time position with some flexibility for on-site / remote work across either or Wilmington, MA or Sutton, MA offices. We are looking for an individual that will work with our rapidly growing actuarial team to assist in the operations of defined benefit retirement plans.
Workflow management for annual recurring client deliverables in support of consulting actuaries while managing and developing junior staff
Preparation of annual reporting including IRS Form 5500 and PBGC filings; provide audit support
Trust reconciliation of plan assets, census analysis, eligibility calculations, vesting determination.
Overall technical familiarity with defined benefit plan rules; perform compliance testing.
Ability to handle caseload of plans with daily client contact. Maintain excellent relationships.
Maintain current, technical knowledge of applicable ERISA and IRS regulations as they relate to plan design and compliance issues with the ability to explain and advise clients based on this technical knowledge
Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Administration, Accounting or Mathematics (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of 5-10 years of defined benefit plan actuarial and administration experience
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required
Experience with ProVal valuation software preferred (willing to train if candidate has experience with other valuation software programs)
Experience with MyPAA (PBGC) and EFast (Form 5500 filings)
Understanding of regulatory aspects of defined benefit plan administration and other defined benefit regulatory issues involving ERISA and IRS Revenue Rulings
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to track multiple tasks and issues, set goals and prioritize tasks in a high volume and fast paced environment
Enrolled Actuary certification or completion of Defined Benefit Administration Certificate through ASPPA or ERPA preferred
