Tighe & Bond Consulting Engineers Project Manager - Bridge in Westwood, Massachusetts

The Project Manager Bridge will join our Westfield, Worcester, or Westwood office to work on avariety of multidisciplinary bridge transportation projects around the region. Qualifications: Minimum of 10-years of experience (15+ years preferred) in the evaluation, design, construction and project management of bridge projects; experience with construction administration of State and municipal projects is a plus Undergraduate Civil Engineering with a focus on structural engineering (MS in structural/ bridge design preferred) Registered Professional Engineering License in Civil/Structural required; MA licensure or the ability to obtain a MA license within six months of hire is mandatory; CT, RI, NH, NY, ME, VT licenses considered a differentiator Ability to perform field assessments of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, etc. and produce well developed assessment reports Experience managing multidisciplinary projects Experience with MS Office and MS Project Familiarity with AutoCAD, and structural computer modeling software Familiarity with Visual Analysis, Microstation Proficient utilizing Visual Analysis, CSI Bridge, Visual Basic, and other structural computer modeling software Experience with MassDOT, CTDOT, and NHDOT processes and procedures In-depth knowledge and project application of State and Federal Bridge Design Manuals and Design Codes are a prerequisite Strong leadership ability and aptitude along with a desire to manage and mentor junior engineers Previous experience with business development activities and the desire to expand your business development acumen will correlate with our doer-seller model and provide opportunities to accelerate your growth at the firm Self-motivation and the ability to work as a collaborative member of our bridge design team are critical traits for this position Excellent written and verbal communication skills required Experience delivering presentations to diverse audiences, including regulatory agencies and the public Responsibilities: Manage and lead diverse project teams in the evaluation, design and construction of bridges Serve as project manager for bridge projects across our geography with responsibilities for internal design and financial management plus client management Identification and develop new clients for the firm through business development activities Design of bridges and structures including calculations and drawing development Preparation of bid documents including drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates Providing mentoring and coaching for junior level staff and overseeing their professional growth and development Performing Quality Control (QC) reviews of design work Conducting inspections and preparing inspection reports Client correspondence and presentations to regulatory agencies and the public Construction observation, construction administration, shop drawing and submittal review, and creation of record plans Participate in project decisions regarding technical approach, cost, and scheduling performance For more information and how to apply, refer to this link:
