Citizens Consumer Banking Strategy Analyst in Westwood, Massachusetts

Citizens is looking for a talented and seasoned analyst experienced strategy professional to join its Consumer Banking Strategy & Development team. This team sets the strategic agenda and direction for the division and acts as a trusted advisor to the Consumer Bank senior leadership team (CEO, CFO, heads of businesses, and other members of the leadership team). The team identifies high impact strategic areas of opportunity across the Consumer Bank’s portfolio of businesses, works with business leaders to develop and execute against strategic roadmaps, identifies and assists the execution of Business Development / M&A opportunities, enables and coordinates innovation efforts across the division, orchestrates our enterprise sustainability efforts across various stakeholders, and oversees the development and oversight of division ‐ wide revenue and efficiency efforts.

This strategy role will be part of the team to help drive a bold vision to achieve competitive advantage, excels at solving complex problems facing customers and businesses, and values being a collaborative partner. The role requires the ability to connect and integrate objectives, prioritize competing demands, and strong ability to be a self-starter who can work effectively across the division. Responsibilities:

  • Support the management of programs and processes for evaluating and prioritizing divisional and lines of business strategies, progress on performance, and return on investment; structure business line reviews/quarterly business reviews and leadership team meeting agendas that facilitate decision making and prioritization

  • Research and analyze market trends: Conduct market, competitive, and customer research to support business strategies and planning efforts

  • Develop and produce presentations: Develop presentations for senior management and the Board of Directors; highlight key findings of analyses and recommendations, raise and present key findings to team leaders

  • Manage projects and support business strategies: Work with businesses on the execution of strategies by coordinating and taking an active supporting role in the development of strategic initiatives

  • Provides an opportunity to understand the full breadth of Citizens Consumer Banking portfolio of businesses, as well as support functions (finance, risk, HR, technology) and exposure to enterprise-wide initiatives

  • Develop strong relationships across the bank including Citizens business units, corporate strategy, marketing, finance, treasury, risk management, and customer analytics

  • Significant room for growth within the group and the role also provides an excellent training ground for other roles within Citizens or other consulting or management opportunities

Qualifications

  • Possess prior experience in a strategy role, preferably in financial services, with the ability to manage multiple work efforts

  • Analytical, and problem-solving skills – ability to determine key findings and opportunities from data, analytics and internal/external research, and present clear and comprehensive considerations; Financial modeling a plus

  • Active interest staying current on events and issues facing banks and financial services companies including competitive environment and customer behavior trends

  • Strong communication and presentation skills; executive level presentation experience a plus

  • Intellectually curious, self-starter, takes initiative and independently completes work

  • Strong ability to collaborate and build relationships, at all levels of the organization

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Prior management consultancy experience a plus

    Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree required
