Description: -We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Design Checker to join our team at our campus in Westford, MA.

-The Senior Design Checker will have the opportunity to work with our top, industry leading multi-disciplined design professionals.

-In this mission critical role Lockheed Martin is seeking to hire its next enthusiastic and motivated Design Engineering Checker. We design and build complex electronic systems for use in missile applications and other harsh military environments. This also involves creation of associated test equipment, tools tools and fixtures needed to build the products. The selected candidate will be working directly with our internal Mechanical, Electrical, RF, Component and Circuit Card Design Engineers to ensure the quality of our technical data packages meet our customers’ expectations. The Design Checker will also support Configuration and Program Management and interface directly with other internal customers including Production Operations, Quality and Global Supply Chain to address drawing related inquires. The selected candidate will also create and maintain design and drafting standards, support all current design changes and new design reviews and releases for the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Chelmsford/Westford business.

The Locale: Chelmsford/Westford is a charming suburb of Boston located about 25 miles northwest of that city. Chelmsford is very close to historic Lowell Massachusetts and to Nashua, New Hampshire. Chelmsford is within reach of New Hampshire’s White Mountains and awesome ski areas to the north, and the scenic coastal towns of MA and NH are about an hour east. This scenic colonial region offers lots of New England charm, great schools, shopping, and restaurants. Chelmsford and the region share an impressive past from the early days after the pilgrims arrived in Plymouth to the revolutionary war. Where can you get to from Chelmsford? Chelmsford is about 90 minutes from Cape Cod. Boston is about 30 minutes to the east without traffic. New York City is about 4.5 hours away from Chelmsford. Waterville Valley and other major ski resorts of New Hampshire and Vermont are about 2 to 3 hours to the north. It should be noted that Chelmsford, Massachusetts is approximately 35 miles northwest of the Boston metropolitan area and offers better access to a wide range of substantially more affordable regions in the area to live. Those regions include Northeastern and North Central Massachusetts, and Southern New Hampshire.

Basic Qualifications:

-Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a

related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience;

or 3 years of professional experience with a related

Masters degree.

-Expertise with the use of CREO and Windchill PDM (Product Data Management)

-Expertise with the use GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)

-Proven capability to execute requirements of drawings and model checking

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

-Candidate must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Clearance and must be able to obtain an Interim Secret Clearance prior to start.

Desired Skills:

-Experience with Electronic enclosures, precision machined components, Automated Test Equipment, cable assemblies, PWB (Printed Wire Boards) and CCA (Circuit Card Assemblies) as well as VID (Vendor Item Drawings), SCD (Source Control Drawings), SPC (Spec. Control Drawings) and AID (Altered Item Drawings).

-Familiarity with Data Set Standards (DSS) and the associated Data Set Ratings (DSR).

- Experience with military and aerospace specifications.

-Ability to manage multiple assignments and customers simultaneously

-Experience with Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), AutoCAD
