Tighe & Bond Consulting Engineers Project Engineer - Transportation in Westfield, Massachusetts

The Project Engineer Transportation will join our Transportation Team in our Westfi eld, Worcester,or Westwood, MA offi ce. The Project Engineer will collaborate with professionals across our regionaloffi ces and serve as an integral part of the project teams delivering engineering solutions to ourclients throughout the Northeast (remote work is available throughout the summer and a hybridapproach is anticipated after Labor Day). Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in the design and delivery of transportation projects BS degree in Civil Engineering (MS Preferred) Professional registration as a Massachusetts Professional Engineer or the ability to obtainlicensure within one year; licensure in other New England states considered a differentiator Experience in the design of roadway, bridge and multi-modal transportation improvementprojects including experience developing construction bid documents for transportationprojects for MassDOT and municipalities in Massachusetts Experience with transportation engineering design software including AutoCAD Civil 3D;experience with MicroStation a plus Must have a working fl uency with Microsoft Offi ce Suite Must thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment, love challenges and details, beresourceful, and have great organizational and time management skill Previous junior staff mentoring and demonstration of leadership skills desired Responsibilities: Projects will include transportation planning studies, roadway design, bridge rehabilitation andreplacements, urban intersection and street design, streetscape enhancements, land useprojects and construction observations/inspection of various projects for public and privatesector clients with a focus in Massachusetts Supporting business development activities including preparing proposals, meeting anddeveloping clients, engagement in professional organizations, and preparing and deliveringpresentations Preparation of reports such as Design Reports, Functional Design Reports, Design ExceptionReports, etc. Overseeing project design teams and managing the technical design and preparation ofconstruction documents, bid documents, technical specifi cations, quantity and cost estimatesfor transportation, traffi c and land use projects for various State, municipal, and private clients Supporting multi-disciplinary projects including bridge design projects and land developmentprojects Presentations to regulatory, technical, and public audiences, including attending communitymeetings to support projects Oversee junior professional staff; Supervise work prepared by junior professional staff; mentorjunior level staff in technical skills Our best-in-class compensation and benefi ts package includes competitive salaries, bonuses, ESOP,profi t sharing, 401(k) plan, employee wellness program, generous health care plans, fl exible spendingaccounts, life and disability insurance, PTO, training and professional development, student loanpaydown program, and tuition reimbursement.
