Tighe & Bond Consulting Engineers Project Engineer - Traffic in Westfield, Massachusetts

The Project Engineer - Traffic will join our Transportation Team in our Westfi eld, Worcester, orWestwood, MA offi ce. The Project Engineer will collaborate with professionals across our regionaloffi ces and serve as an integral part of the project teams delivering engineering solutions to ourclients throughout the Northeast (remote work is available throughout the summer and a hybridapproach is expected after Labor Day). Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation and traffi c engineering, including transportationplanning, traffi c impact study preparation and traffi c signal design BS degree in Civil Engineering (MS Preferred) Professional registration as a Massachusetts Professional Engineer or the ability to obtainlicensure within one year; licensure in other New England states considered a differentiator Certifi cation as a Professional Traffi c Operations Engineer (PTOE) and/or Registered SafetyProfessional (RSP) considered advantageous Must have a working fl uency with Synchro, SimTraffi c, experience with VISSIM and Sidra aredifferentiators Previous project experience utilizing traffi c analysis software and preparing traffi c studies isrequired Traffi c control signal design including the preparation of construction documents and facilitatingregulatory approval experience Experienced with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation experience is preferred Microsoft Offi ce Suite experience is also required Must thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment, love challenges and details, beresourceful, and have great organizational and time management skill Previous junior staff mentoring and demonstration of leadership skills desired Responsibilities: Projects will include transportation planning studies, traffi c impact analysis, traffi c signal design,parking studies, roadway design, intersection traffi c control design, and constructionadministration of various transportation projects for public and private sector clients in NewEngland with a focus in Massachusetts Supporting business development activities including preparing proposals, meeting anddeveloping clients, engagement in professional organizations, and preparing and deliveringpresentations Traffi c analysis and modeling (macro and microscopic modeling) Transportation planning, safety engineering, corridor and parking studies Preparation of reports such as Traffi c Impact & Parking Studies, Design Reports, FunctionalDesign Reports, Design Exception Reports, etc. Assisting with roadway and intersection design plan preparation, maintenance & protection oftraffi c, based on applicable design standards for various State, municipal, and private clients inNew England Preparing contract documents, bid documents, technical specifi cations and quantity and costestimates Performing site visits, signal inspections, and construction observation on an as-needed basis Presentations to regulatory, technical, and public audiences, including attending communitymeetings to support projects Oversee technical work of junior professional staff; Review work prepared by junior professionalstaff; mentor junior level staff in technical skills Apply now at
