A position has become available for R&D Scientist I – Bioprocess Analytics in Pall’s R&D Bioprocessing Group at the company’s New England Center of Excellence in Westborough, MA. The team is responsible for analytical method development to support new product development and R&D activities around therapeutic antibodies and Gene Therapy viral vectors.
You will work closely with customers and Pall colleagues, including global R&D, product management, sales, manufacturing and engineering to ensure Pall technologies continue to serve the evolving needs in the bioprocess industry.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Provide routine assay support.Execute assay optimization and qualification testing.Data analysis and preparation of summary reportsMaintain precise, timely and experimental activities in laboratory notebooks and internal technical reportsContribute to equipment maintenance, laboratory set up and organizationChampion 5S and lean laboratory principles.Contribute to cross-functional team efforts to support New Product Development and Process Development
Basic QualificationsBachelors in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or related subject area and 1 year experience.
Experience with basic biochemical assay techniques such as SDS-PAGE, ELISA, HPLC, Western blotting.Strong written and verbal communication skillsStrong problem solving and analytical skillsWell organized and high level of attention to detailAbility to work independently to achieve defined goals and develop new processes and within a global, cross functional team
Experience with analytical techniques such as ddPCR, qPCR and viral transduction/infectivity assaysExperience with analytical method development including assay optimization and qualificationExperience with monoclonal antibody and viral vector physical tittering assaysExperience with aseptic technique and basic cell culture.Experience with statistical analysis software
