What you’ll do

The Funding Specialist is responsible for coordinating daily account activity for employer groups who self-fund their health, dental and short-term disability benefit programs. As such, the specialist manages information for clients in the areas of funding, billing and reporting. Please note, this is a full-time, on-site role located at our headquarters in Westborough. MA. The schedule for this position is M-F, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

In this role, you’ll also:

  • Communicate with clients regarding funding requirements based on approved expenses of the plan

  • Communicate with claim examiners, account managers and various other departments according to client needs

  • Compile and audit various monthly activity reports

  • Calculate and prepare reports for agent commission payments, network access and utilization review fee payments, and responds to inquiries regarding these reports

  • Assists plan participants and clients with administrative matters relative to prescription benefit, network access and enrollment information

  • Completes departmental projects as assigned

  • Performs other various duties deemed necessary to provide client administrative services

What you bring:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education and two years’ of related experience, preferably in the banking and/or healthcare industry

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

  • Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member

  • Ability to multitask efficiently and accurately

  • Must be detailed, analytical and accurate

  • Recognize the need for follow-thru and follow-up

  • Ability to work within specified timeframe and meet deadlines

  • Recognize and maintain confidentiality of work materials as appropriate

  • Comprehend and communicate plan document guidelines
