The Learning & Development Specialist will work with team members and leaders to identify, develop, and execute training programs. This specialist will develop and execute trainings on both hard and soft skills internally at eClinicalWorks. As a core part of the Human Resources team, the L&D Specialist works with all functions of the HR team as well as Senior Management to perform these critical companywide functions. Post COVID-19, this position will be based out of our Westborough, MA office.


  • Develops and delivers classroom-based and online (i.e. WebEx, GoToMeeting) training sessions for US and International populations.

  • Creates curriculum and completes training related tasks that meet strategic business objectives in driving quality, customer service, and effectiveness.

  • Consistently evaluates opportunities for continuous improvement and proactive business partnership.

  • Participates in learning needs assessments with organization and teams.

  • Collaborates with US and International Training Team to align and ensure consistency in training processes and performance improvement initiatives.

  • Designs eCW oriented training materials, ensuring sound adult learning and instructional design principles and methodologies.

  • Develop and support reports for departments and training programs.

  • Develops marketing campaigns for eLearning and classroom instruction to increase participation.

  • Supports training team through evaluating effectiveness of programs.

  • Provides on-going feedback to Employee Relations and management regarding trainee performance.

  • Provides individual coaching and training to top talent and under-performing employees who need additional support.

  • Assigns and updates training curricula requirements in the learning management system (LMS) for intended audience.

  • Develops eLearning and short educational videos.

  • May train other trainers and evaluate other trainer’s skills.


  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Minimum of 2 years of Learning and Development experience with exposure to leadership skills in a corporate environment.

Strongly Preferred Skills

  • 2 years of experience in designing and delivering curriculum to adult learners in a business environment.

  • Practical knowledge and application of basic Learning Management System platform.

  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural, challenging environment with frequent interruptions, changing priorities and deadlines.

  • Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
