This position can be located in Raritan, NJ; West Chester, PA ; Cincinnati, OH, Raynham, MA.

This position reports to the Director, Product Line Owner

The IT Manager, R&D Regulatory Product Owner, will contribute and implement the information technology strategy for the R&D Regulatory Product Line. They will partner with R&D Regulatory process owners and IT colleagues to understand business strategies, processes, and needs to advance business capabilities across Medical Device R&D regulatory affairs globally.


  • Deliver R&D Regulatory solutions to internal customers across multiple product platforms, managing expectations, and delivering solutions at the forefront of technology within the constantly evolving digital world.

  • Build positive partnerships with J&J Technology Services, IT Business technology leaders, other product line organizations and external solution providers to deliver impactful and intuitive solutions to address business problems.

  • Influence and drive business strategy and processes towards digitalization, and standardization, while maintaining J&J technology, quality, and compliance standards.

  • Enable of design thinking practices and tools to enable collaboration between product management/product owners and development teams.

  • Build relationships with external partners and vendors to understand standards and industry trends.

  • Contribute to and communicate product line strategy and roadmaps.

  • Use Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Agile Methodologies, functioning as Release Train Engineer to guide partners on the methodology to continue to increase effectiveness of the product line, reinforcing SAFe core values.

  • Evolve the Continuous delivery pipeline and DevOps model for all products in the portfolio


  • A bachelor’s degree with preference in the field of computer science, engineering, or science or demonstrated related work experience.

  • 5 years of related IT experience.

  • Strong business acuity and ability to identify technical solutions to satisfy business needs.

  • Previous experience working in an Agile environment, and with SAFe methodologies.

  • Ability to build positive relationships, influence partners, lead teams, and work effectively in a virtual environment, across cross-functional teams and multiple levels of an organization.

  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills.

  • Confirmed technical background in application development methodologies


  • Experience with Regulatory Systems and current knowledge of industry and business process trends and standard methodologies.

  • Knowledge of Appian or PTC Windchill.

  • Knowledge of analytics and intelligent automation capabilities.

  • People management and development experience.

  • Certification in SAFe.

  • Knowledge of solution, integration, data architecture
