Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist (MBTA - Capital Spares) iCIMS ID:2022-5203 # Positions: 2 Hire Type: Full-Time Work Days: Monday - Friday, Overtime & Weekends may be required Work Shift: First shift, 6:00am-2:30pm Location: MBTA Capital Spares 35 United Drive West Bridgewater, MA 02379 Description Overview: Shipping and Receiving Specialist: Performs shipping receiving and report functions in a warehouse environment to assist the MBTA (Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority) Warehousing & Logistics Support contract. Responsibilities: Shall perform a variety of warehousing duties, to include, but not limited to the following: ? Performs as a Technical Lead for Shipping and Receiving functions ? Performs as a Shipping and Receiving Lead ? Reviews Exception Reports and processes receipt transactions for frustrated material ? Understanding of warehouse storage plans and warehouse operations ? Perform daily cycle counts at a 95% accuracy rate as assigned ? Verifying materials against receiving, shipping, storage and inventory documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and damage ? Routing materials to prescribed storage, freight forward and/or shipping locations ? Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods ? Managing and taking inventory of received, shipped and/or stored materials daily ? Examine stored materials and report deterioration and damage ? Removing material from storage/receipt areas and preparing it for shipment ? Process and/or affix, receipt, shipment, storage, pick/pack and other paperwork and ? reports as required ? Provide causative research for misidentified, damaged, non-located material as required ? Operates hand or power trucks and/or forklift in performing warehousing duties ? May make Emergency Deliveries as necessary ? Occasionally be assigned work at other remote location throughout network ? Occasionally be assigned work at the central warehouse facility Required Qualifications: ? Valid Driver\'s License ? Obtain and maintain a forklift license ? COVID-19 vaccine Physical Requirements: Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
