Pay: Up to $26 per hour base on related exp.

Hours: 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday- Friday

Job Summary:

Machines parts through professional utilization of various C.N.C. machine tools and related equipment. These parts are used to build actuators and valves.

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Reads and follows blueprints and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining methods and sequences.

  • Measures material to be used for job using any of the measuring tools needed to make sure the material is correct for the part to be made.

  • Measures tools as required.

  • Sets up cutting tools and setting part zero, tool offsets.

  • Sets up work holding (vise, knee, fixture)

  • Conducts dry run and performs first, in process, and last piece inspection to make sure outside and inside dimensions are correct to print dimensions.

  • Inspects and edits programs.

Education & Experience:

  • 2-years’ experience operating CNC machines in a work environment

  • High School Diploma or GED

Knowledge & Skills:

  • General shop math skills are required.

  • Ability to set up and operate CNC machining equipment, while minimizing down time.

  • Demonstrated ability to work from and interpret, blueprints, sketches and verbally communicated requirements.

  • Ability to read and use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and bore micrometers with a full knowledge of their application.

  • Ability to inspect and edit programs

  • Proficiency with using machinist calculator
