This Key Account Manager is responsible for the managing and driving sales in several large accounts in the New England area
Develop Collaborative Negotiation process
Increase sales through greater penetration within existing accounts
Responsible for meeting or exceeding sales and margin goals
Work in concert with customers to determine product categories
Promote and secure lowest cost of goods
Negotiate customer specific and core product programs
Identify Good, Better, Best product alternatives in all categories
Increase sales through greater penetration within existing accounts while also prospecting and building business with new accounts
Accurately answer questions regarding products and their applications,
Present new and innovative items, identify and close sales with new and existing customers
Demonstrate outstanding customer service to build relationships and ensure customer satisfaction
Implement and manage pricing strategies within all accounts
Work with manufacturers’ representatives to sell promoted items
Communicate and cooperate in productive manner with all departments
Bachelor's degree in Professional Selling, Marketing or Business a plus
3 to 5 years previous selling experience in supermarket industry preferred
Required to work independently with minimal supervision
Possess a vast array of industry vendor and customer contacts
Extensive Product knowledge
Provide promotional items and opportunities for special sale events
Requires outstanding customer service skills and the ability to work in a team setting with a diverse groups of employees, managers and external contacts
Outstanding analytical, organization and oral/written communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook
Previous experience with IBM AS400 operating system highly desired
