This role, Vice President Manufacturing Operations & Supply Chain reports directly to the SVP, Chief Technology Officer. In this role, the incumbent has responsibility for leading the manufacturing operations and supply chain functions in Watertown, MA and is a member of the site leadership team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following

General

  • Oversees the manufacturing of EyePoint products manufactured both in-house and at external contract manufacturing operation.

  • Oversees extensive supply chain of raw materials and products

  • Responsible for resolution of all production related investigations,

  • Ensures safety, quality, and compliance in our cGMP operations

  • Establishes and executes sound plans that enables operational and strategic imperatives

  • Leads and coordinates resources to ensure product quality standards and supply plans are met within planned budget

  • Develops short/long term strategies, goals, objectives, and associated budgets required to ensure appropriate manufacturing operations and site deliverables

  • Recruits, retains and develops high-performing and diverse team of employees within the “Spirit of EyePoint” values and framework

  • Leads all aspects of team talent management, including performance, career development, and succession planning

  • Serves as a role model in the organization and coaches/develops team to achieve their fullest potential, setting clear performance expectations and providing timely feedback

  • Builds a compelling operations strategy to deliver on company goals while maintaining departmental budget and workforce model

  • Champions innovation and continuous improvement and contributes to the business results through quality of decisions, results and advice

  • Develops and implements metrics to track and lead successful, timely accomplishment of assigned goals, objectives and projects

  • Ensures consistency and compliance with all external regulatory requirements

Primary skills and knowledge required include, but are not limited to the following:

  • 15+ years of leadership and managerial experience directly leading people in a multi-tiered organization including experience leading teams, projects, and programs, and directing the allocation of resources in operations environment.

  • 15+ years’ experience with in-house pharmaceutical manufacturing as well as managing external Contract Manufacturer

Level of Education Required/Preferred Field of Study:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science or Engineering discipline required, Masters or PhD preferred

    Number of Years of Experience in the Function and in the Industry:

  • 15+ years in Manufacturing/Operations and Supply Chain for small molecules and medical devices
