Commonwealth Financial Network Strategy Consultant in Waltham, Massachusetts
We are seeking a Strategy Consultant to join a specialized team—one that advises Commonwealth’s CEO and executive leadership on defining, analyzing, and prioritizing the strategic direction and growth for our company. In this role, you will work collaboratively with project teams to solve complex problems and have unparalleled access to senior executives, all while helping to implement mission-critical strategic initiatives.

Creating executive-quality presentations and materials that effectively synthesize information, tell a story, and influence behavior for a range of audiences
Deconstructing complex problems and creating both qualitative and quantitative analyses to address underlying strategic questions
Gathering and examining robust data sets to identify patterns and trends; telling a compelling story based on the results
Presenting within the team, as well as to leadership, based on your work and associated recommendations
Managing relationships, leading interactions, and confidently communicating with colleagues at all levels in a peer-like way
Working collaboratively in a small team of highly motivated individuals; comfortably providing and receiving feedback
Using your excellent organization skills and project management skills to prioritize and execute against deadlines
Diverse problem-solving experience across a range of projects
Outstanding ability to analyze problems and apply quantitative logical approaches to solutions
Confident and effective communicator (oral, written, presentations); works well in cross-functional teams
Openness to an environment of active developmental feedback from peers
Intellectually curious; able to navigate ambiguity and deliver exceptional output
Excellent and efficient skills using MS Excel and PowerPoint tools
Entrepreneurial mindset, motivation, and versatility
Additional Skills and Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree from top-tier university with relevant coursework or specialization in economics, business, finance, operations, or accounting
1–3 years of experience from a premier management consulting firm or comparable skills from investment banking, corporate strategy, corporate development, LDP, or similar
Experience in the financial services industry, or an interest in learning more
Exposure to analyzing financial statements (e.g., 10-Ks), 3-statement modelling, or M&A is a plus
