Location/Division Specific Information

As one of the largest biotechnology companies in Germany, we research, develop and produce innovative biomarker diagnostics and distribute our products in more than 65 countries. BRAHMS is based in Hennigsdorf near Berlin, which is home to about 285 of the company’s 550 employees worldwide.

This individual will be remotely based in any major US city in Eastern time zone with easy airport access.

Discover Impactful Work:

In this position you will accelerate national adoption and integration of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s BRAHMS biomarker assays in clinical routine for improved patient management. You will be responsible for the clinical and medical launch excellence and reimbursement strategy of new Thermo Fisher Scientific BRAHMS diagnostic products in the North American market.

A day in the Life:

  • Set objectives for medical launch success and deliver strong product vitality in the North American market for BRAHMS biomarkers following their regulatory approval

  • Lead scientific pre- and post-launch programs for new products (including CME programs, awareness campaigns, focus group forums, conference events, advisory boards, board of experts sessions etc.)

  • Implement HEOR and reimbursement processes for the business with clear focus on development and execution of milestones for reimbursement coding and payor coverage

  • Inform the evidence generation roadmap in relation to clinical value data, cost benefits and improved patient outcomes and contribute to the strategic planning of the launch and claim extension pipeline

  • Guide publication and communication strategy related to new product releases and drive KOL and patient advocacy

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Graduate degree required.

  • Advanced scientific degree (PhD, MD, PharmD, MPH) with at least 5 years' experience in a Medical Affairs related role with HEOR and reimbursement focus strongly preferred.

Experience

  • Understand and integrate and effectively communicate scientific data on target therapeutic areas.

  • Work with functional teams to successfully plan, coordinate and integrate Medical Affairs related launch roadmap activities with cross-departmental efforts.

  • Leverage expertise in study design and public health to set reimbursement plans, evaluate potential clinical research opportunities and facilitate (in collaboration with clinical research manager) company sponsored trials, clinical investigator-initiated trials (IITs), and HEOR research.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong self-motivation and enthusiasm with demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

  • Expertise of medical device/diagnostic industry standards and compliance with launch and reimbursement experience.

  • High level of independent judgement and execution coupled with strong problem solving skills to successfully navigate through complex functional challenges

  • Ability to travel as needed.

  • Experience in oncology, prenatal health, or infectious disease preferred.
