PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Responsible for planning, development, implementation, and management of internal communication strategies and tactics for Fresenius Medical Care North America. Collaborates closely with leaders and key stakeholders across the business to support business priorities and projects from planning to concept to completion. Provides management, counsel, and direction on activities, and assigned projects of all sizes and complexities across the organization.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides management for a wide-ranging portfolio of Internal Communications initiatives, projects, and events.
Collaborates closely with Marketing and Communications colleagues, and partners with business leaders and subject matter experts to manage the development and implementation of integrated communication plans that engage, inspire, and celebrate employees.
Identifies and develops compelling stories that support our internal communications strategy.
Acts as a subject matter expert utilizing in depth understanding to design, create, and implement key communications and related projects.
Responsible for management of our Employee App and coordinates with Marketing Operations and DTI teams to enable technical enhancements and exceptional end user experience.
Manages the tactical execution of short- and long-term objectives through the coordination of activities with a direct responsibility for results, including costs, methods, and staffing.
Provides leadership, coaching and development plans for all direct reports to maintain an engaged and productive workforce, partnering with Human Resources on employee matters.
Technically proficient in the specific department and knowledge of industry practice and business principles. Has a large range within a department or multiple departments.
A strong tactical decision-maker; role primarily focuses on tactical execution. Handles unforeseen issues.
Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives. Has significant project/process responsibility within the function.
Interprets company-wide policies and procedures. Involved in the development, modification and execution of company policies that affect immediate operations with potential company-wide effect. Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Review’s objectives to determine the success of projects. Establishes operational objectives and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
Exercises supervision in terms of costs, methods, and staffing.
Decisions have an extended impact on work processes and outcomes. Erroneous decisions will result in critical delay(s) in schedules and communications which may jeopardize credibility of clients.
Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship. Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.
Interacts frequently with internal departments and external customers/vendors; particularly in problem resolution. Responsible for hiring, coaching, and counseling employees, including performance reviews, disciplinary action and terminations.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

- This position requires approximately 5% to 20% travel.
Manages two non-exempt team members.
Indirect supervision of staff on projects and initiatives.
EDUCATION AND REQUIRED CREDENTIALS :
- Bachelor’s Degree; Advanced Degree desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS :
6 – 8 years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
3+ years’ experience as a Manager preferred, or proven ability to be mentor and coach.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and develop staff.
Proven ability to write and proficient as a storyteller.
Exceptional communications skills both verbal and written.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to work at all levels of leadership.
Attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities.
Demonstrated project management skills inclusive of management of scope, budget and deadlines.
