Position Summary:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sr Commercial Solutions Manager – Packaging Technologies SME (Subject Matter Expert) in the Commercial Excelleration Team in the Clinical Trials Division! This role supports clients in clarifying how Thermo Fisher Scientific can deliver services to meet their Clinical Supply needs with specific emphasis on Packaging and Labelling and pre-filled injectable products. Learning and staying up to date on current technologies and service offerings is critical to success in the role. This role

is responsible for developing and communicating strategies for our clients. You will spend most of your time supporting the sales team to align Thermo Fisher services to client needs, with a focus on packaging technology. You will coordinate and provide vital back-office support to the sales team assessing, using data to assess strategies for increasing share of wallet.

Key Responsibilities:

A strong candidate will demonstrate tactical, strategic, and thoughtful ways of organizing information and communicating solutions to clients. Use creative ways of building solutions and apply brand consistent messaging across client presentations, aligning services to client needs. Communicate thoughts on projects and areas of opportunity. Demonstrating client centric focus and the ability to cultivate collaborative partnerships will be a strength in this role.

A day in the Life:

  • Work with internal team members and service line authorities to respond customer requests for proposal and request for quote to ensure that Thermo Fisher is presented in the best light to align with customer needs

  • Bring expertisein packaging technology options for pre-filled injectables and play the role of liaison between the commercial team and various technical teams

  • Act as an advocate for and representative of the commercial team and their customers to ensure alignment with the internal shared service functions supporting strategic alignment of client facing communications with a proactive approach to support flexibility to meet needs and/or market trends changing

  • Work with Sales Teams to deploy and implement commercial initiatives.

  • Support Strategic Bidding process by coordinating SMEs, leading planning and preparation

  • Have a passion for results and ability to identify organizational needs, investigate, and share knowledge and input into sales strategies

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Experience

  • Requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and an advanced degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Able to analyze and interpret data elements and make recommendations for change/improvement

  • Outstanding project management skills, ensuring that complex projects are run to delivery dates and budgets.

  • Strong self-management skills with an ability to prioritize, delegate and make decisions quickly

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and social skills.

This job might be a good fit if you:

  • Have a bachelor’s in engineering, scientific field, mathematics, operations, or any related field. An advanced degree inbusiness or a technical field is a plus.

  • Have about 8+ years or more relevant work experiencein commercial or operations support roles preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in current pre-filled injectable technologies required

  • Have understanding clinical supplies and the associated packaging technologies

  • Can seek and process data to support decision-making and drive action.

  • Experience and strong skills in customer service.
