Brandeis University Social Media Specialist in Waltham, Massachusetts

Develops content and executes social media strategy across the Brandeis University social media presence (e.g.. TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube) to build Brandeis' online community while supporting the University's strategic priorities, brand, and voice. 65 % Lead social listening efforts, including monitoring and responding to questions and evolving conversations online. Provides insight to campus leadership during emergencies or crises. 15% Manages social media analytics, analyzes data to inform strategy and provides consistent reporting to management. Continually assesses social media platforms, trends and tools to ensure Brandeis's social media presence is a leader in the higher education marketplace. 10 % Ensures University-wide compliance with University social media strategies, accessibility and brand standards, messaging and strategic goals. 10 % Maintains social media editorial calendar. 5% Requirements: Experience managing Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, and other social media channels for a brand, preferably higher education. Creative software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Premiere) and Canva Photography and video skills are a plus. Experience in a fast-paced, solutions-oriented atmosphere Excellent writing, editing, presentation and communication skills. Must be able to self-proofread for quick turnaround. Proven ability to coordinate projects, establish priorities among multiple simultaneous requests (in consultation with director), meet tight deadlines and multitask. Ability to work both as part of a collaborative communications team and independently. Education BA/BS required. MA/MS/MFA preferred.
