Title: Senior Manager Warehousing and Materials Management

Location: Waltham, MA

Reports to: Associate Director, Warehouse & Materials Management

The Role:

ElevateBio is looking for a Senior Manager Warehousing and Materials Management will be responsible for developing warehouse procedures and operating a new warehouse to advance ElevateBio?s portfolio of cell and gene therapy products. This position will lead and contribute to activities in support of cell and gene therapy product clinical trials.

Here?s What You?ll Do:

  • Support the development of business processes for the sites warehouse that meets short to mid-term (1-3 years) operational planning requirements for logistics.

  • Help write, develop, train, and implement department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP?s).

  • Receive, inspect and prioritize the distribution of incoming raw materials, lab supplies, and office supplies following established procedures.

  • Label and record quantities received for all GMP materials.

  • Deliver packages/goods to the appropriate storage locations or departments.

  • Process material request and document all material transfers following established procedures.

  • Package outbound materials/goods following established procedures and ensure shipping documents are accurate and ready for courier pickup.

  • Perform physical inventory checks and work with Manager to reconcile discrepancies.

  • Maintain an orderly and clean warehouse.

  • Support procurement and logistics functions as needed

  • Perform additional duties/tasks identified by management

  • Provide reliable, efficient, and compliant warehousing operations for the receipt, sampling, safe storage, on-site transfer and off-site disposal of materials, trash, and hazardous waste.

  • Develop, analyze, and maintain KPI?s/metrics and reports to identify current state of Logistics and drive the implementation of transition plans to achieve the desired state.

  • Evaluate current and potential storage conditions and maintain general housekeeping to meet corporate governance and regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Oversee the inventory management process of daily cycle counts, full physical inventory, posting, tolerances, variances, and investigate significant variances using root cause analysis (RCA) tools, and develop corrective action preventative action plans (CAPA?s).

  • Drive lean manufacturing efforts, process improvements, regulatory compliance & quality improvement projects, cost reduction efforts, capacity planning, organizational development and supply chain initiatives

Requirements:

  • GMP warehousing experience required

  • Strong understanding of GMP facilities, GMP raw materials management

  • 8+ years of industry experience

  • Strong proficiency with an ERP system required

  • Prior SAP strongly desired

  • High school diploma or Associates Degree (Bachelors not required)

  • Proven leadership skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Sound knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP)

  • Possess an ability to learn and master complicated concepts quickly and comfortably

  • Possess the ability to proactively adapt to rapid changes in business priorities and foster teamwork among employees to maintain high quality standards

  • Basic maintenance execution and recordkeeping, supporting vendors, etc
