Commonwealth Financial Network Product Manager in Waltham, Massachusetts

We are looking for a highly analytical and creative person to help lead our product efforts. We are evolving our culture of indispensable service to provide modern and efficient solutions at scale. As a team, our areas of focus include the development and support of internal systems, as well as integrating with third-party applications.
Key responsibilities
Creating and managing, in alignment with the corporate strategy, strategic product road maps
Leading efforts to uncover and understand customer needs, translating them into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development
Assessing buy, build, and partner implementation options to determine the right approach
Leading teams without direct supervision to gain alignment and drive efforts toward common goals with success metrics, ensuring that implementation plans align to goals
Helping the organization adopt data-driven methods and use customer insights to influence product decision making
Understanding, researching, and following technical trends in the industry and in general
Assessing emerging products and companies to measure their potential value or threat to the company, as well as making recommendations on which new technologies to invest in or leverage
Developing and managing business capability maps
Rationalizing technologies and products across the enterprise
Championing product capabilities and helping drive adoption
Facilitating the creation and maintenance of proper product documentation
Using data tools to analyze key performance indicators and evaluate experiments
Core strengths
Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
Excellent analytical skills and ability to think strategically
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
Examples and at least one sample of an effective document delivered in the past
Additional skills and knowledge
5+ years’ experience as a product manager
3+ years’ experience in the financial services industry
Technical background, experience with API management and data integrations
Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred)
