Job Description

DUTIES: Support the sales organization in both presales’ demonstrations and post sales customer support functions to ensure successful customer outcomes.

Research and Author technical notes, white papers, application notes in collaboration with our marketing teams around industry relevant applications for our tools.

Maintain and catalog feasibility test reports from customer demonstrations.

Provide technical leadership to the sales and product management teams for better positioning of our technical solutions in the market.

Engage with industry thought leaders in the development of new applications of our technology and pharmaceutical industry.

Provide technical consultation and support to our product development and marketing teams in support of our customer’s goals and new product developments.

Attend and present in technical programs on our division’s products at trade shows and exhibitions.

Collaborate with the product support and marketing teams on the development of training tools for customers, distributors. Content will include web based training modules and videos.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field of study plus 3 years of sales engineering, technical support, or related experience.

Must have experience or knowledge of:

Molecular spectroscopy involving Raman and NIR;

Handheld spectroscopy tools and markets;

Pharmaceutical documentation process and data integrity;

XRF or similar elemental instrumentation;

Scheduling and completing customer or channel partner visits;

Eigenvector Solo, PLS toolbox, or similar Chemo metrics package;

Technical demonstrations and seminar presentations; and

Technical writing including white papers.

Travel: Up to 75% domestic and international travel required. Telecommuting Employee: Reports to company headquarters in Waltham, MA. Can work remotely or telecommute.
