POSITION: OPERATIONS BUSINESS MANAGER

The Operations Business Manager supports in managing and driving projects and initiatives across Operations. This role works collaboratively with the Head of Operations and Service and operations leaders to ensure critical information is reported accurately and presented to decision makers within Bank Operations.
Key Result Areas:
Acts as leader for technical /ad-hoc reporting or project needs in the function or business unit.
Reviews operational data/metrics, analyzes and synthesizes the data, then compiles into reports or presentations.
Collaborates with and supports senior leaders and their teams to ensure analytical and reporting needs are aligned and supports business operating results.
Communicates with internal teams and leaders to stay abreast of organization and function operations and is familiar with company practices relevant to metrics, performance indicators, reporting protocols, etc.
Defines/develops analytical approaches to unprecedented and complex issues and determines where measurement gaps exist and devises new metrics or reports to fill those gaps.
Develops consultative partnerships with internal teams and leaders to understand their strategic objectives, key performance indicators and reporting requirements.
Support the coordination of key operations projects/initiatives that are of strategic importance for the function or business unit.
Provides guidance and acts as mentor or SME to developing staff members to deliver on the operations strategy that supports the CSB and Operations strategic plan.
Supports data-driven decision-making by team, functional or business unit leaders.
Performs additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred.
8 + years of operations experience, preferably in a financial services organization with experience/exposure to Lending (Consumer or Commercial), Deposits, Payments and/or Cash Management.
8 + years of experience working with analytics and ability to provide process recommendations, and work with operational standards to include monitoring and evaluating.
8 + years of Business planning, project, and financial experience.
Ability to consult, build, and maintain solid working relationships in and outside of immediate department/function.
Ability to determine and report priorities/metrics to senior management and manage multiple small to medium sized projects simultaneously. Ability to research, analyze, document, and present organizational metrics that drive business decisions.
Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members.
Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Knowledge and understanding of banking industry; products, services, operations policies, and procedures.
Knowledge and understanding of risk management, strong attention to detail and accuracy skills.
