Job Description

We’re currently looking for an intern who is studying Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering to join us in our Waltham, MA office.

This positions will be onsite in our Waltham, MA office, working 40 hours per week. The position will begin in January 2022.

We are open to candidates interested in either a 4-month internship (January-April) or 6-month co-op (January-June).

Job Duties

The Electrical Engineering Intern will work with the Engineering team by assisting the Software/Hardware Engineering department with ongoing projects. As an intern in our Engineering department, you will be empowered and inspired to do your best work. In a typical day, you will:

  • Assist engineers on projects related to product investigation, development, design validation, and support.

  • Create and follow documentation for development, testing, and support.

  • Assemble and program test fixtures for engineers in various departments.

  • Test and debug analog/digital circuits using schematics and various lab equipment.

  • Test New Product Introduction (NPI).

A typical day for you will include:

  • Collaborating with your supervisor and team to complete role-related assignments and projects.

  • Actively engaging in and adding value to meetings and discussions.

  • Engaging in other duties, as necessary.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be enrolled in a full time undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited 4-year institution.

  • Must complete sophomore year before the internship begins and graduate after the internship ends.

  • Preferred fields of study include Electrical and computer engineering

  • Must not now or in the future require immigration-related sponsorship.**

  • Demonstrated ability to balance academic and extracurricular commitments (i.e. work experience, clubs, volunteer activities, teams, etc.).

  • Basic Electrical Engineering knowledge.

  • Basic use of standard lab equipment such as Oscilloscopes, fiction generator, soldering etc

  • Must possess excellent analytical and organizational skills.

  • Must be proficient and have practical knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Must be able to work well within a team and independently at times with limited guidance.

  • Experience with MS Visual Studio, C++, Omnify, and/or LabVIEW.

  • Experience witch schematics capture CAD tools,such as Orcad, Xpedtion.

  • Knowledegable with Linux, FreeRtos, Crotex MCU, application processors.

  • Experience with application development for IOS.

  • Experience with FPGA development (ALTERA/Xilinx).

  • Experience with IOT devoice development.

  • Experience with wireless connectivity.

  • Experience with designing and building prototypes circuits.
