Sanofi Group Manager, US Business Intelligence & Analytics in Waltham, Massachusetts
The US Business Intelligence and Analytics role will initially report into the Executive Director of Bioverativ’s Decision Support Group, and then into the Head of US BI & Analytics at Sanofi Genzyme beginning in early 2019. The Decision Support team at Bioverativ, a Sanofi Company, generates insights that accelerate brand growth and facilitates planning for in-line and launching products across the Rare Blood Disease Business Unit. More specifically, the US Business Intelligence and Analytics Manager is tasked with being a strategic partner to brand leadership to align on brand KPIs, develop impactful, automated dashboards, perform robust analyses, and effectively communicate insights that enable crisp decision making and drive growth. The Manager, US Business Intelligence and Analytics will become a critical member the Business Operations team. This individual will work closely with representatives from the Sales, Marketing, Patient Advocacy, Patient Services, Value & Access, and IT teams to understand available data sources, key business questions, and appropriate measures of success. With this deep understanding of the business, this individual will develop dashboards that add substantial value in driving organizational understanding both execution and performance metrics. Responsibilities include:
Partner with cross functional stakeholders to understand their business questions and objectives, then develop visualizations and dashboards in Tableau or other BI platforms that provide them with meaningful, timely, and actionable insights
Strong verbal and written communication skills required to effectively convey insights to senior audiences, particularly through dashboards and concise and impactful PowerPoint story flows
Ability to synthesize performance metrics, syndicated reports, CI reports, and market research to produce integrated performance insights for both Sanofi Genzyme Rare Blood and competitor brands
Implement advanced analytic techniques in Tableau and/or Excel to answer key strategic business questions as needed.
Understand disparate sources of information available in the pharma industry, their applications to the business, and their limitations, and develop data sources in Tableau for efficient data exploration and insight generation.
Reduce redundancy among dashboards/reports, and maintain consistent visual design standards for enterprise-level visualizations and dashboards
Teach business users how to interact with the visualizations and interpret the results, and develop reference materials
Maintain appropriate documentation around development of visualizations, dashboards, and workbooks – including assumptions, complex calculations, and other relevant information
Minimum two years of development experience with industry leading Business Intelligence tools, such as Tableau Desktop, QlikSense, QlikView, PowerBI required
Prior experience in using a variety of data sources as Tableau inputs, including Microsoft Excel and relational databases
Demonstrated experience in translating business questions into audience-appropriate visualizations and effectively messaging insights to a senior audience via PowerPoint presentations
Ability to develop code in SQL preferred
Prior experience at a biotech/pharmaceutical company required
- BA/BS required; MBA preferred
