Job Description

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Manager, Investor Relations. This is a unique opportunity to work in a world-class organization that is dedicated to enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. The Manager will play a pivotal role within the investor relations team by assisting in the planning, development, and implementation of investor programs, messaging and activities. The Manager will assist the IR team with analyzing financial data and reports prepared by the investment community, crafting and preparing communications materials used in IR events, analyzing and providing competitive intelligence to management, and meeting internal reporting requirements. The Manager, IR role is on-site, with one flexible day per work week.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of strategies and programs for investor relations.

  • Work closely with team members to maintain clear and cohesive messaging and communication.

  • Build and manage relationships with external constituents, including analysts and investors.

  • Collaborate with various corporate teams, including Communications, Legal, Financial Planning & Analysis, Tax & Treasury and Strategy & Development

  • Help prepare IR related material including press releases, presentations, and other associated materials.

  • Support investor facing events, including conference calls, in-person meetings, non-deal roadshows, and trade shows.

  • Conduct financial analysis and market research to support IR messaging.

  • Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activities.

  • Support the development of quarterly earnings materials and other investor communications.

  • Generate and publish weekly report for senior management.

  • Understand the company’s strategies, businesses, technologies, and financial performance expectations.

  • Remain current on economic, political, regulatory, industry, and stock market outlook.

  • Stay informed on changes in key subjects including science, technology, and accounting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Communications, Business, or related field.

  • Proven experience in investor relations or related field; minimum 3 years of shown experience preferred.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and financial analysis skills.

  • Proficiency in managing time effectively and delivering results within designated timelines.

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Exhibits the highest ethical standards.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office required; .Bloomberg, FactSet and S&P Global preferred but not required.

  • Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally (approx 10%).
