Commonwealth Financial Network Investment Research Analyst in Waltham, Massachusetts

The Investment Management and Research team functions as a consultative arm of Commonwealth, providing expertise and advice on a variety of investment products and subjects. The group’s collective knowledge and experience span topics such as the functionality of investment planning software, asset allocation strategies, and advanced portfolio construction techniques for high-net-worth individuals. The mission of the team is to ensure that Commonwealth advisors and their staff are using the best products and strategies to satisfy their clients’ diverse goals.

If you have three or more years of financial services experience and are working toward or have completed your Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) program or Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation, let’s introduce ourselves.

Key responsibilities

  • Responding to inquiries from Commonwealth’s advisors on investment topics and products

  • Researching and analyzing alternative investments and writing comprehensive research reports summarizing findings

  • Performing initial and ongoing due diligence on alternative investments

  • Assisting with asset allocation, portfolio construction, case design, and consultation

  • Taking on important responsibilities on a range of complex investment vehicles and strategies

Additional skills and knowledge

  • More than 3 years’ experience in wealth management or investment management and research

  • Completion of or working toward completion of the CFA® program or CAIA designation
