The Financial Analyst I gathers, monitors, analyzes and reports financial and brand related data to divisional and corporate management teams.
Communicate with business partners for general accounting matters.
Assists the team with periodic reconciliations and reports for the brands within the company including: rebates, royalties, account payable, prepaid assets, accrued miscellaneous, travel, and other ad hoc items.
Responsible for journal entries in support of the period close process.
Responsible for reconciling and balancing general ledger accounts.
Responsible for researching and correcting account discrepancies.
Prepares schedules and reports for auditors quarterly and at year-end.
Provides support on projects for management.
Assists with consolidation of period, quarter and year end results.
Performs duties consistent with the company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
3+ years accounting or finance experience.
Good communication (written/oral) and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels throughout the organization.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Good computer skills.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word applications
Normal office environment.
