What You’ll Be Doing

Cadmus is seeking an experienced financial analyst and project manager to join the Energy Services Division. The Energy Services team at Cadmus provides advanced analytic and strategic consulting services to energy companies, utilities, governments, and non-profit organizations across the United States and around the world.

The primary areas of focus for this position are:

• Oversee and design analyses establishing the financial value of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and load management programs and equipment.

• Performing economic,statistical and econometric modeling and analysisto assesscost effectiveness for program evaluation and resource planningprojects.

Candidates should have experience with benefit-cost analysis of energy efficiency, renewables, electric vehicles, or other energy-related projects. They should have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, be highly self-motivated to perform and learn, be able to work collaboratively and independently, and manage assigned tasks and projects from start to finish with input from supervisors.

This position will be based in Madison, Wisconsin or one of our other locations, but remote postings will be considered. This position will work closely with our staff throughout the country.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include both technical work and project support/management.

Technical Elements

• Oversee the planning,design and implementation of cost effectiveness research and analysis.

• Conduct primary and secondary data collection.

• Analyze and interpret energy and financial data to reach meaningful conclusions and recommendations for inclusion in clearly written, concise reports.

Project Support

• Project management activities such as internal project coordination and budget tracking for non-cost effectiveness analyses.

• Contribute technical analyses to a variety of clean energy program evaluation, planning, and other energy sector projects.

• Contribute to business development and proposal efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in energy related field, economics, finance, accounting, or similar field and eight to ten years of relevant experience (Master’s Degree can be substituted for 2 years of experience).

• Professional experience conducting cost effectiveness for energy efficiency, renewables, distributed energy resources, or other energy industry related program evaluations.

• Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel and Word.

• Excellent writing, communication, and critical thinking skills.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, including setting priorities and adapting to changes in a time-sensitive, deliverable driven workplace.

• Ability to provide timely communication and proactively reach out for assistance or clarification.

• Experience with project management tactics, including scheduling and budget tracking.

• Strong organizational, detail-oriented skills.

Desired Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in relevant field.

• Eight to ten years of experience working in the energy evaluation industry.

• Familiarity with Python/Jupyter, R, VBA, Matlab, SQL, Access, FileMaker, or other analytic languages or platforms.

• Statistical analysis training a plus.

• Applied experience with quantitative research activities in academic or professional setting.

Additional Information:

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen.

Based on eligibility and job status, Cadmus offers an excellent benefits package to include: medical, dental, vision, company paid disability and life insurance, 401(k) program, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, voluntary time off (VTO), tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance program, other optional benefits and various bonus programs.

The minimum starting salary for this position is $85,000. The actual salary may be higher and will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
