SS&C Technologies Director of Sales, I&IM in Waltham, Massachusetts

Job Description

The Director of Sales, I&IM is responsible for exceeding revenue targets in the region via the acquisition of new name business. The DS is responsible for developing and leading strategies to grow revenue and market share in existing and new markets and segments.

Responsibilities

  • Exceed quarterly and annual sales targets executing against the sales strategy.

  • Actively build and expand pipeline development and growth.

  • Maximizing quarterly revenue impact through deal structure and timing.

  • Collaborate with Marketing to establish a Marketing plan that supports pipeline building, lead generation and brand awareness.

  • Define and institutionalize sales process, ensure business practices and procedures are documented, rolled out and governed.

  • Ensure staff are trained on all product lines including positioning, features, benefits, functionality and competitive landscape.

  • Define key metrics and goals for sales staff that develops the short term and long term pipeline necessary to achieve and exceed revenue targets.

  • Manage and monitor activities to ensure results.

  • Deliver accurate sales forecasting and pipeline reporting: communicate status effectively to key stakeholders.

  • Implement contracting and negotiation process that supports and adheres to commercial policies

  • Build high performing team and develop talent and skills to level necessary for mandates. Specifically ensure skills and abilities are strong around market domain, salesmanship and product knowledge.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

Experience

  • High degree of market domain experience and relevant rolodex for institutional, wealth and insurance segments.

  • Demonstrated collaborative success with other internal functional groups.

  • Leadership of multiple geography sales organizations.

  • Knowledge of front, middle and back office landscape/solutions.

  • Track record of delivering at or above target performance

  • Significant experience managing multi-decision-maker, multi-function, multi-product solution enterprise software, Saas, BPO, and professional service transactions.

  • Mentorship and development of staff.
