MaxLinear Digital RF Systems Intern in Waltham, Massachusetts

MaxLinear is seeking a Digital RF Systems Intern to join our team. In this role, you will focus on the following:

  • Set up a modern Python environment for development of current and future projects

  • Work with our Digital RF Systems team to convert preexisting MATLAB code to native Python

  • Propose changes to source MATLAB for further improvements and optimizations

  • Optimize Python code for performance and accuracy

  • Develop a testing platform for testing the MATLAB-to-Python conversion

  • Communicate well with team members of diverse backgrounds in algorithm and software design

  • Provide regular updates to team members in the form of code reviews and test reports

  • Experience in MATLAB and Python programming languages

  • Experience in algorithms and signal processing is a plus

  • Good communication and critical thinking skills

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or currently enrolled in a MS or BS program in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
