Join our team now at Siemens Healthineers as a Biochemist 1 – Technical Operations.

We are looking for a Biochemist 1 that will focus on paramagnetic based immunoassay developments and improvements, and will support a scientific team skilled in surface chemistry.

This group within the Technical Operations department will perform functional assessment (feasibility/characterization) of prototype materials, using immunoassay architectures on the Atellica and ADVIA Centaur testing platforms.

This positionincludes the handling of all types of materials, including hazardous and DEA(Drug Enforcement Agency) controlled materials.

This is a role well suited to an ambitiousprofessional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Biochemist 1, youwill be responsible for :

*Participation in creation and execution of the design of experiments.

*Coordination of data analysis, and writing internal reports and documentation.

*Assisting with the team’s performance of material feasibility and characterization studies, following written protocols.

RequiredEducation, Skills & Experience:

*Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry

*Job Related Experience: 1 to 2 Years in Diagnostics or Related Technical Operations

*Basic understanding and knowledge of the principles of biochemistry and organic chemistry

*Ability to interpret data and to assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues

*Strong work ethic, and be capable of timeline management

*Excellent written and communication skills

*Must pass a Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) background check

Preferred Knowledge/Skills,Education, and Experience:

*Experience with method development and process validations are a highly favored

*Experience with immunoassays and Design of Experiments (DOE) data analysis programs (such as MiniTab)
