The Team: The Business Development team is responsible for bringing our market-leading Climanomics® platform to new customers in Financial Services, Real Estate, and Non-Financial Corporates. We work closely with Customer Success, Marketing, Product, and R&D to provide the best products and customer experience to organizations with varying levels of expertise in climate risk.

Our Climanomics® platform is the industry leading solution for global physical risk analysis, providing users with insights they’ve never had before, so they can take action to make our world more resilient to climate change.

What’s in it for you: Currently, we are recruiting for a Business Development Director who can inform sales strategy for non-financial corporates, target key accounts, and mentor sales staff. This role is ideally based in New York. We're looking for someone who is savvy at navigating corporate environments, but agile with a start-up mindset. The successful candidate will play a prominent role in shaping the future of one of the world’s leading climate analytics firms. From facilitating initial conversations, to developing team wide best practices, to signing new customers, you will be an integral member of our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Bring the suite of climate risk analytics products for Non-Financial Corporates in our cutting-edge Climanomics® software as a service platform to new customers.

  • Develop and execute on the business development strategy for TCS for the sector.

  • Cultivate sector, product, and technical expertise to be able to curate new use cases, identify global and local trends in climate risk analytics, and support regional thought leadership.

  • Develop new business leads and enhance existing relationships, calling on a number of lead-generation channels; manage the sales life cycle, diligently leveraging our CRM system.

  • Formulate, execute on, and exceed quarterly sales plans.

  • Work closely and collaboratively with other members of the sales team to develop and implement appropriate prospect communication plans.

  • Strategize with team members to innovate & improve the overall sales development process.

  • Collaborate with the Customer Success team to understand key requirements and smooth onboarding of new customers.

  • Be effective within the company culture, collaborating in a productive way with multiple teams across functions.

  • Coach peers and junior business development teammates.

What we are looking for: Experience in the following areas is desired but not required:

  • Selling technical B2B SaaS products.

  • ESG and/or climate change.

  • Selling to finance professionals.

  • High work ethic with confidence to work autonomously

  • Strong communication, teamwork, and process development skills

  • Burning desire to provide the world with ever-better insights on the impact of climate change

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA or technical enterprise sales experience required.

  • More than 8 years of sales experience with a track record of exceeding quota

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $72,300 - $143,800. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for a sales commission plan.
