In this role, you have the opportunity to

Accelerate sales of Philips Digital Pathology Solutions encompassing scanning, storage, IT, and integration as well as software solutions for research, education, and molecular pathology. The successful candidate will have a business development mindset and strong capabilities in building relationships with multiple stakeholders in the healthcare and pharma domains.

You are responsible for

  • Presenting, promoting and selling the Philips Digital Pathology Solutions including services to existing and prospective customers

  • Demonstrating the functionality and features of the solutions for consultative sales

  • Preparing and delivering effective sales presentations and offer proposals

  • Executing sales calls, onsite visits and online engagement to build funnel

  • Maximizing order intake, sales (including Service Contracts), and price realization within the region

  • Strong ability to map out territory and identify market potential

  • Drive market visibility by frequent customer visits, product demonstrations, evaluations, seminars and congresses

  • Maintaining superior relationships at multiple levels within accounts, including executive level both internally and externally

  • Development and implementation of account plans and regional strategy for Pharma in North America

  • Maintaining accurate account, opportunity, and funnel data via online management

  • Strong ability to analyze won deals, expectations, customer satisfaction (NPS), market, competition and trends, and communicate winning tactics with colleagues

  • Ultimate responsibility for alignment of all customer facing staff active at account level

You will report to the Commercial Director, Life Sciences and collaborate closely with the clinical sales team within Philips DPS as well as many other teams who span multiple geographies. Philips Digital Pathology Solutions aims to transform cancer diagnostics through the digitization of pathology and thereby improve clinical outcomes. We have developed unique software solutions to drive improvements and innovations in the education and training of medical professionals using digital pathology. As digital pathology transforms the professional discipline of diagnostic pathology, there is parallel growth in digital training technologies that have the power to standardize pathology training and build skill sets.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Strong and proven track record in sales performance, preferably within the Pharma industry

  • Experience in Healthcare IT and software sales

  • Strong drive and passion, with intense desire for success

  • Aspirations to grow within Philips as part of a rapidly expanding team

  • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred

  • Willing to travel and enjoying interactions with a variety of people with different backgrounds and personalities

  • The successful person will have an affinity for travel with an expectation to travel 80% of the time, including occasional International travel
