TURNERS FALLS Utility Floor Person - D shift - 12 hour nights Summary: This is an entry-level position. The Utility Floor Person will operate grinders, trimmer machines, and conveyor systems. The role is responsible for Controlling Resin and Regrind, Triming excess Plastic from Products, inspecting and packing product, and Reporting on Production Housekeeping. Duties: Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies. Ensure the production of quality bottles and perform audits, weights, and quality checks. Machines may vary by site. Adhere to quality control and blow mold process procedures. Complete on-line case count, quality inspection sheets, and other reports Notify supervisor and team members of any quality or machine problems, reporting to supervisor on quantities of finished product. Grind excess bottles and material. Requirements: Must be detail oriented. Must be able to read and write. Work well both independently and in a team environment. Previous experience in a manufacturing setting a plus. Blow mold background a plus Prefer High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Physical requirements: Standing all day, up to 12 hours depending on shift. 20/20 vision or corrective eyewear. Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull and reach on a regular basis. Ability to lift 20 pounds repetitively. Lift up to 60 pounds occasionally. Tolerate hot, cold and dusty environments.
