Raytheon Software Engineer II in Tewksbury, Massachusetts
We have an opportunity for a Software Engineer II within the Patriot Modernization Department in Tewksbury Massachusetts. The Patriot Modernization Department’s mission is to provide world class software for Patriot, the world's pre-eminent air defense system. As part of this team you will perform software development, including requirements definition, design and implementation, and testing. The candidate will be responsible for implementing new capabilities, debugging, and fixing problems within software applications, and supporting integration and verification efforts. Our software applications are developed using C++, Ada, Jovial programming languages running on a variety of computing platforms utilizing Linux, LynxOS, and Windows operating systems. U.S Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date. Required Skills: 2+ years in software engineering or related field C++ Programming experience Strong problem solving ability Can work independently and develop solutions to complex problems This position will require the ability to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a clearance. Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field Desired Qualifications : Leadership Experience Real-time software development experience Clear Case/Rational Apex or equivalent configuration management tool experience Experience in Agile/Scrum development Software development experience in DoD environment Good verbal and written communication skills Experience working in a team environment developing commercial or defense system software applications Active Security Clearance What’s YOUR Mission?
