We are looking for a driven, creative, and resourceful professional to join the Liquid Handling Business Operations team, as part of Laboratory Products. As a product analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing sales and manufacturing data for the portfolio to drive resolution of potential issues and opportunities for improvement.

In addition, you will maintain product specifications & literature, design promotion programs and track effectiveness, perform product pricing and cost reduction activities, distribute customer notifications, and monitor master supply agreements. We will look for you to have a basic understanding of the sales process from initial customer contact through successful use of Corning liquid handling products, identify and escalate areas of concern in sales and manufacturing trends, and provide customer support for raised issues through communication with sales account managers. A successful Product Analyst will be well suited for a future Assistant Product Line Manager role.


  • Building models to track and analyze sales and manufacturing metrics

  • Support two Product Line Managers with financial analysis and business modeling

  • Pricing analysis and management

  • Identifying and presenting recommendations for portfolio rationalization and other improvements

  • Sales facilitation and enablement

  • Open order tracking and production plan support

  • Master supply agreement tracking

  • Facilitate the development and deployment of marketing communication plans to include scientific conferences and exhibitions, e-marketing, promotions, application notes and sales literature

  • New product request and product line extension execution

  • Multi-functional communication with internal manufacturing, quality, customer service and supply chain teams to facilitate rapid support of customer issues

  • Facilitate communication between sales, research, and technical support teams on new product launches


  • Standard business hours; Monday – Friday

  • Domestic Travel Requirements: Negligible

  • BS Degree

  • Minimum of 0-1+ years quantitative analysis, business development, or marketing

  • Excellent quantitative analysis skills (primarily Microsoft Excel) and strong interest in furthering experience in basic model building and data presentation to leadership

  • Interest in product management

  • Interest in financial analysis and opportunity assessment


  • BS Degree in Science, Mathematics, Business, or another quantitative field

  • Acumen for data analysis, finance, and/or manufacturing

  • Knowledge of marketing tools and techniques

  • Product management or development experience

  • Knowledge or experience with the life science and/or liquid handling market

  • Familiarity with product documentation systems

  • Basic understanding of market strategies
